Investigator are conducting a search for Haleigh on the day Ronald plans to marry his girlfriend
SATSUMA, Fla. -- Investigators again are searching woods on Thursday morning looking for missing 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings - on the day her father plans to marry the teen-ager who was with Haleigh when she disappeared.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said it has about 100 deputies searching along U.S. Highway 17 north of Crescent City. The area has not been searched in the past, although an earlier news release said it had been.
The family told WESH 2 News that Ronald Cummings, 25, is scheduled to marry 17-year-old Misty Croslin at 4 p.m. The ceremony will be at the Dunn's Creek Baptist Church in the town of San Mateo, which is just north of Satsuma.
Cummings asked Croslin to marry him on Sunday night at Chili's in Palatka. Croslin was sleeping in the home she shared with Cummings on the night Haleigh disappeared one month ago.

SAN MATEO, Fla. -- The San Mateo church, reportedly the site for the wedding, says none are scheduled for Thursday.
A family friend says that Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin are now looking for a location, and someone to wed them.
Dunns Creek Baptist Church emailed a statement to our newsroom stating that there is no wedding scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 12, 2009. The statement provided by Associate Pastor David Dixon asked that any announcements made regarding the Cummings-Croslin wedding at the church be retracted.
Jamie Watts, funeral director of Watts Funeral Home, 720 U.S. Hwy. 17 in San Mateo, says the couple originally asked him to perform the service; however, Watts says his notary status has expired.

Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin will tie the knot Tomorrow in a small church ceremony
SATSUMA, Fla. -- One day before Ronald Cummings marries his fiancé Misty Croslin, his mother spoke with us about what the day will be like.
“It will be very small and private,” said Teresa Neves, Ronald’s Mother.
“Misty is actually fulfilling the wishes of Haleigh. Haleigh and Junior (Haleigh’s brother) have often talked about how they would love to have Misty for their Mommy. They’ve asked daddy several times why you don’t marry Misty?”
Neves said Croslin picked out two dresses for the big day.
“I believe that the one she’s going to wear is going to be white…strapless, with ties in the back.”
Neves said the ceremony will only include about 20-30 people. She also said there will be no party and no honeymoon afterward. She hopes to have a bigger ceremony once Haleigh is returned home.
“It’s just basically something for Haleigh…and I don’t know if they've done a best man, or a bridesmaid, I don’t think they thought anything about that…I think it’s going to be the bride, the I-Do’s…and just wait for Haleigh.”
Cameras will not be allowed inside the church where Misty and Ronald will wed. Ronald’s mother did tell us we would be welcome to wait outside for them to come out.

Ronald Cummings has asked Misty Croslin to be his wife hmmm
PALATKA, FL -- The father of Haleigh Cummings has asked his teenaged girlfriend to marry him.
Ronald Cummings, 25, popped the question to Misty Croslin Sunday night at Chili's, with several family members around them.
She said yes.
Outside the Putnam County Courthouse where Croslin and Cummings went Monday to get the paperwork for a marriage license, Croslin showed off her ring.
"Everybody's probably going to take this marriage thing the wrong way but it's not," said Croslin. "Everything's still focused on Haleigh. This is what Haleigh wanted. She's always talked about it."
Croslin said Haleigh even called her "mom."
Since Croslin is only 17, the paperwork has to be filled out by her parents.
The two have not set a wedding date.
Misty Croslin put Haleigh Cummings to bed on the night of February 9. Haleigh hasn't been seen since.
If you have any information on her whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS. You'll remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward. The reward for Haleigh's return is at $26,500.

I just don't know what to say
If my child was missing I would spend every minute I could looking for my child
I would not have time to get married or get a tattoo.
I really don't know what to say about this.

Haleigh Cummings Father Ronald Cummings and Great Great Grandmother enter the house updates 03/05
SATSUMA, Fla. -- Thursday was a particularly emotional day for family members of missing Satsuma 5-year-old Haleigh Cummings as the child's loved ones went back inside the house where the girl and her father lived.
Last week, police took down their crime scene tape and said family was allowed inside the Cummings' home. At the time, many family members couldn't bring themselves to go inside. On Thursday, Haleigh's great-grandmother, Annette Sykes, stepped inside to tidy up the home before TV cameras are allowed to enter.
Signs of Haleigh could be seen outside the home -- her pink and blue bike and other little toys. Inside, Sykes said the rooms once filled with the girl's laughter are now filled with sorrow.
"There's just Haleigh all over the house … there are toys and everything. Her pictures are on the walls and her clothes are there, the toys are there, even on the porch and in the yard. Everywhere you look, they're there," Sykes said.
She said she has dreaded the day when she would have to step foot inside the home. She went in to help straighten up the home from the way police left it after their search.
"The things that she played with the most are left out there right where they were. Her favorite stuff is there where she had it," Sykes said.
Though a painful task, she said she wants the home to look like the last time she saw Haleigh, at 7 p.m. before the night the child disappeared.

SATSUMA, Fla. -- It's now been 23 days since Haleigh Cummings vanished from her Putnam County home. Her disappearance has left her family emotionally distraught, and now, physically ill.
Teresa Neves, Haleigh's grandmother, says many people in their camp are coming down with colds and the flu. And Wednesday, Haleigh's father, Ronald, and his girlfriend, Misty Croslin, reportedly went to the doctor seeking treatment for anxiety.
Neves say the only thing keeping her son sane these days is his little boy, Junior. "Ronald had all day today with Junior. They went and played and done little boy things," says Neves.
Ronald is also becoming extremely protective of Junior. He no longer wants the 4-year-old's face shown on television. He's worried that if Haleigh could be kidnapped, Junior could too. Neves says, "He was put out there for the world to see and as far as we're concerned, his life is endangered."

Ronald does not hate the media
- Three weeks later and thousands of tips and still no sign of Haleigh Cummings. She vanished from her Satsuma, Florida trailer in the middle of the night. On Thursday her family cleaned the trailer out saying they're simply too heart-sick to live there after what happened.
Ronald Cummings Great Grandmother Annete Sykes tells us its not as though Ronald hates the media, she says right now he’s just all nerves wondering where his little girl is.
As soon as Ronald Cummings asked us to turn off our cameras we did. Sykes says Ronald didn’t want anyone to see what was going on inside his home. “Put yourself in his place to have to go in the room where his little girl was stolen from…he couldn’t handle it…he just broke down.”
Sykes tells us the home is just about the same way they left it. “There’s just Haleigh all over the house…cleaning her room was the hardest…because she has her toys and everything. Her pictures are hanging all over the wall…and her clothes are there…her toys are there…they’re even on the front porch, they’re on the yard…everywhere you look they’re there.
The big reason Ronald’s Relatives were inside this home is because they wanted to look through and clean it up and get it ready for the media. They say they want to show you how she lived, and how much she was loved.
Sykes says within the next few days she will be willing to take us on a tour of Haleigh’s home.

Almost 4 weeks not a trace
Please DEAR God let Haleigh be found safe
A lot of leads but not much news at all concerning Haleigh Cummings

I have read a lot about People saying its strange Ronald is moving
I don't think its strange. His little girl vanished and he still has a 4 year old.
I could not stay in the trailer either.
I think the tattoo was a mistake MY OPINION
I think it was wrong for RJ to be on geraldo MY OPINION
Yes,both parents are making mistakes

Updates Haleigh Cummings 03/04 Crystal sheffield camp asked to move,Misty Croslin's parents talk about cousin Joe
Crystal Sheffield is not being forced but owner is concerned with the safety
(sorry you have to pause one of the video to watch one they play automatically when you come to the page)
SATSUMA, FL -- The family of Haleigh Cummings' mother is moving again.
For the past three weeks, Crystal Sheffield and her mother Marie Griffis have been staying in a tent just outside the wall to the River Villas neighborhood where Haleigh lived with her father.
The makeshift camp has grown in size, in part because of all the memorials left for Haleigh, who has been missing since she went to bed on the night of February 9.
The family, who lives in Baker County, says the spot next to the wall is as close to the investigation as they can be.
But Haleigh's grandmother says the owner of the River Villas asked them to move.
River Villas co-owner Richard Jennings told First Coast News his heart goes out to the family but he has asked the family about their future plans.
Jennings says the presence of the camp has sparked questions and concerns about the safety of the family.
The camp is near a busy intersection and a railroad track.

Misty Croslin's parents talk about cousin Joe
JACKSONVILLE, FL -- Twenty-three days into their investigation, law enforcement officers are still trying to find Haleigh Cummings.
The five-year-old was last seen when her father's girlfriend, Misty Croslin, says she put her to bed.
Investigators have not fingered a suspect, but today members of Croslin's family spoke out about the search.
Croslin's mom and dad, Lisa and Hank, spoke out about a 19-year-old cousin who lives in Tennessee. His name is Joe. We are not identifying his last name because police have not named him a suspect in the case.
Police confirm the FBI has talked to Joe. Croslin's father says he spoke to police about the teenager on Tuesday. "I was into the police station yesterday telling them everything. I hope I don't get in trouble for saying, but ya know. I don't know what else to do."
The First Coast News I-team has found Joe's myspace page. The last posting on his site is from February 22, 2009.
A friend by the name of Thomas told Joe, "Just go back down there and help find the lil girl it just might clear your name."

Ronald Cummings and Crystal Sheffield not on speaking terms, Ronald Cummings mom speaks about Geraldo and RJ
Reported by: Leslie Coursey
SATSUMA, Fla. -- As sympathy for Haleigh Cummings' family grows, so does the divide between them. Nightly vigils for the missing 5-year-old continue. There's always one on her mother's side, and another on her father's side. Each side says the same prayer, for Haleigh to come home, but they pray separately.
Haleigh's mother, Crystal Sheffield, and father, Ronald Cummings, are not on speaking terms. "I passed him on the road and other than that, I've had no contact with him," says Sheffield of her ex-boyfriend.
Adding to the family feud is Haleigh's grandmother's anger that Sheffield allowed her and Ronald's 4-year-old son, Junior, to be interviewed on Geraldo Rivera's national television show. Teresa Neves says, "Personally, I think it's child endangerment. If somebody thought that child could identify them, what would they do? I'm waiting on one grandchild to come home. I certainly don't want anything to happen to any of my other grandchildren."

Almost 3 weeks later and still no signs or clues for Missing Haleigh Cummings Where is Haliegh Cummings ?
There has not been any new information about Haleigh Cummings this weekend.
I just don't understand how a 5 year old little girl can just vanish without a trace.
Last night my husband went to the store and his truck died on him. I had to go out and give him a jump start. My 4 year old son was asleep,I picked him up put a blanket around him and put him in the car seat and he never woke up.
I have talked to my son about strangers. Have told him to run kick scream if anybody tries to take him but, I have never talked to him about screaming or kicking if somebody takes him out of bed.
He woke up when I got home and was getting him out of the car seat. I could tell by his face he had no clue where he had been or how he got in the car.
When they had came home earlier I was asleep. so he had no clue how he got with me
The First thing he said Where is Daddy ?
I started talking to him. I said L if somebody tries to take you out of bed you have to scream and kick. You have to wake up
I have sat here and cried all day with what he answered with.
He looked up at me and said I can go with Santa and is reindeer.
For the past two years he has told the same elaborate story on Christmas day.
How he gets to ride on the sleigh with Santa. I'm sure every Christmas eve he goes to sleep thinking about Santa and the reindeer and he dreams.
He is 4 years old and I don't have the heart to tell him its only a dream
Why does there have to be sick people in this world?
I just wish there was on city or town they all had to live in and be counted for everyday all the Registered sex offenders or anybody that abuses children
Please God bring Haleigh home and safe
Please put Ronald and family in your prayers.
please excuse all grammar and spelling errors. I am not the greatest writer sorry
