Jaycee Dugard case : fund has collected about $18,000.00 as of thursday

As of Thursday, the fund had collected about $18,000. I am really surprised,I was hoping it would be a lot more by now.

I did not have much to send in.
If everbody who buys there lunch at work could bag it for one day this week and send in that 5.00 for jaycee recovery
or
If you stop and get a starbucks coffee every morning maybe skip it a couple of days this week and send in that 5.00
That would make a huge increase in the fund for Jaycee and her girls recovery

Do you think there is any reason that somebody would not donate?
I know the obvious reasons.... Things are hard all over and some just don't have it
( Believe me I know more then anybody)
Do you think Jaycee will get more donated if she did a interview?
