Update on Casey Anthony case New recordings released

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- The Orange County Sheriff's Office released audio recordings of interviews with Casey Anthony Friday.

The recordings were made by investigators on July 16, 2008, the day the 22-year-old mother was arrested on charges of child neglect, lying to authorities and obstructing an investigation following the disappearance of her 3-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony.

The interview was conducted by Orange County detectives inside a meeting room at Universal Studios. Casey led detectives to this location because she said Caylee's babysitter, Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, may have brought her to Universal in the five weeks she was missing.

Investigators determined in the meeting that everything Casey had told them up to that point was a lie. She was under oath when speaking to investigators. source Myfoxorlando

I do not think anybody in there right mind would agree with this.
Right now according to the documents her story is all lies so somebody is going to pay 1.5 million dollars for her lies.

Unless caylee is alive and she shows up I don't think Casey deserves 1.5 million for her story.

I'm just afraid this will set the stage for copycats.

Please Casey if you know anything at all please start talking. Think about Caylee and the last time she looked up to you with those beautiful eyes and smiled at you. Please tell the truth and bring little Caylee home.

An unknown woman took trash from the Florida home of Casey Anthony Tuesday, Orlando FOX affiliate WOFL reported.

I'm not really sure if I could dig through someones trash.

Do you think Casey was using Caylee has a bargining tool ?

Eyewitness News has learned that an intense fight right before Casey left with Caylee in mid-June was over money that Casey had stolen from her own grandparents, from an account dedicated to paying for assisted living expenses for her grandfather. Tensions had been building over the theft.

Eyewitness News also learned Cindy Anthony had gone to a counselor who told her to kick Casey out. Cindy was worried Casey would take Caylee with her, so the counselor told her to try to get legal custody of Caylee.

Before that could happen, Casey and Caylee left and Cindy believed Casey kept Caylee out of touch just to punish her. Relatives said Caylee was more attached to her grandmother than she was to her own mother. full story source wftv

Young was also part of a group of protesters in front of the Anthony's Hopespring Drive home on Sunday night. Things got heated when a hammer-holding George Anthony got upset that they were too close to his home and shoved Young into the street.

"You are on my f****** property, get off my property!" George yelled during the incident.

Young wasn't alone. Larry Donovan was also pushed. Orange County sheriff's deputies were called out and the two protesters who were shoved decided to press charges (read incident report).

The sheriff's office filed the two battery charges with the State Attorney's Office.

"We don't care how they feel. Because obviously they are siding with their daughter, which is totally wrong," said protestor Sharon Cadieux.

It was relatively quiet Monday morning, with no sign of chanting protesters. George drove out of his driveway a few times without answering any questions. full story wftv

Corrections officials said he also granted an extension of Casey's schedule for Monday so that should visit with her attorney in Kissimmee. She must be back in the home by 6:00pm and was given permission to proceed directly to the attorney's office from her meeting at Corrections. While she is subject to random drug and alcohol testing, the corrections department said no testing was conducted Monday.Officials also said Casey scheduled a meeting with her attorney every day this week. She can leave at 10:00am and must be home by 4:00pm. There is no schedule for her to be out-of-the-home over the weekend. full story

LEONARD PADILLA, BOUNTY HUNTER: The results from the Tennessee labs and the FBI labs completely changed my mind 180 degrees. I, like Tim, believe we are looking for a body, not a live child.

What I am doing is - because there's a $225,000 reward out there for a live Caylee. What I'm offering is $50,000 if somebody will lead us to the body.

Help me out. Give me the information that it takes. It is confidential. I am not law enforcement. Give me the information that will get made to what I believe is the body we're looking for now. And that's what this is about.

VAN SUSTEREN: What is your current relationship with Casey, Casey's parents, and Casey's lawyer?

PADILLA: Casey never talked to me after we had that one minute discussion where she tried to run the Zenaida game on me again. And I told her I didn't want to have anything.

I never talked to her about that. I have not talked to Lee or Georgia or Cindy since I left.

VAN SUSTEREN: When you spoke to Casey, how long ago was that?

PADILLA: That was the day after she was out of jail. I was in the living room with Cindy and Rob Dick, and she came in and sat down and started talking, my baby, Zenadia took her at the park and left me a script to tell the cops these lies for 30 days.

And I told her I did not want to hear that. That was bunk. We had already checked out on the Zenaida thing. She is just hardheaded and will not give up the truth. She is never going to give up the truth.

VAN SUSTEREN: This script, what is this script about?

PADILLA: She said that Zenaida and her older sister Samantha took the baby from her, held her down. And then when they were about to drive out in a 2008 silver Ford Focus, Zenaida handed her a list and said, "Here--if you do not want your baby hurt, this is what you tell the cops for the next 30 days."

VAN SUSTEREN: Did you see this script?

PADILLA: No, absolutely not.

VAN SUSTEREN: And Samantha is the older sister to Zenaida?

PADILLA: That is what she says.

The thing about it is, the nanny and all of that, none of her friends ever saw that woman, nobody ever met her.

VAN SUSTEREN: I do not doubt it. I am just trying to square on these details. Did she say where she had met Samantha, because Samantha is at least new to me tonight?

PADILLA: No. Samantha is supposed to be Zenaida's older sisters. I only heard the story that one time from her.

VAN SUSTEREN: Leonard, let me know if anyone takes you up on that $50,000 offer.

PADILLA: I would hope that somebody would let make life easy for Tim, because he is out there in the swap being mosquito-bit with a lot of good- hearted volunteers. And the person that has the answer is not saying anything.

And I think Tim will agree with me on that, she is just being hard- headed.

Equusearch halts search for Caylee Anthony because of flooding will continue at a later date

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- Texas Equusearch announced today that it will cease searching for Caylee Anthony -- at least for now.

The team of volunteers -- which numbered in the thousands Saturday -- is disbanding due to flooding conditions which director Tim Miller said has been preventing them from being able to properly search for the missing toddler.

During a 3 p.m. news conference with Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary, Miller he feared the searchers' vehicles could possibly run over the body of Caylee Anthony if she was submerged under flood waters. Miller said he did not want to compromise any evidence. full story my fox Orlando

Equusearch Almost 1,200 Volunteers Search For Caylee Anthony Saturday / Protesters are going to far at Casey Anthony house

Meanwhile, a record number of almost 1,200 volunteers helped search for Caylee. So far, searchers have turned up nothing, but they refuse to give up.

WESH 2's Amanda Ober reported Saturday that one of the biggest challenges searchers faced was the wet condition of the ground in the 25-square-mile search area near the Orlando International Airport, where law enforcement directed searchers to review.

Mandy Albritton, a spokeswoman for The Texas EquuSearch Mounted Search and Recovery Team, said, "35 to 45 percent of the search area is covered with water."

EquuSearch said however long it takes to clear the search area, they will not give up, and judging by Saturday's turnout of volunteers, they're getting the community support they hoped for.

"I couldn't even sleep last night. All I could think was Caylee, Caylee, Caylee," said Donna Christie, a volunteer.

Many of the volunteers feel emotionally involved in Caylee's disappearance and that emotion may be what drove so many to spent a hot Saturday looking for a missing 3-year-old, Ober said.

I just think the protesters could be more useful doing something else instead of making such a uproar for the neighbors. We have to remember the neighbors don't deserve there lives to be turned upside down.

Local Teen Helps Get Billboard In Search For Giovanni Gonzalez

LYNN, Mass. -- A local teenager is helping to get out more information about a missing 5-year-old boy who was last seen in August.

NewsCenter 5's Jim Boyd reported that Giovanni Gonzalez was last seen on Aug. 16 with his father, Ernesto Gonzalez, who is being held at the Middleton House of Corrections on a child endangerment charge.

Clear Channel is providing a billboard, free of charge, which will be going up next week in Lynn's Wyoma Square. GRACE: What do you mean she`s divulged the truth?

PADILLA: I believe that after the samples came out from the Tennessee and the FBI a week ago, more than a week ago, 10 days ago, that she probably told Lee, who told Cindy, because their whole attitude changed dramatically the very next morning. Thursday morning, it was kind of an offensive attack on she`s alive, she`s alive. Somebody put a body in the car and all that kind of stuff started coming out real strong.

GRACE: But if they really believe that it was another body in the car, not little Caylee, then that seems that they`re buying Casey Anthony`s story.

PADILLA: No, no, they`re not buying her story. They know what happened. They`re trying to make the best of it. They lost a granddaughter. They don`t want to lose a daughter.

Some days, it is only a mother's intuition that keeps Daisy Colon's spirit going strong.

"In my heart, I know he's alive," the East Boston woman said in a phone interview yesterday.

Colon's 5-year-old son, Giovanni Gonzalez, has been missing since Aug. 16, a day after she dropped him off in Lynn with his father, Ernesto Gonzalez Jr., she said.

Gonzalez has told Lynn police and State Police assigned to Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett's office that Colon never dropped off the child. But neighbors said they saw Gonzalez and a boy now believed to be Giovanni playing at the father's Brightwood Terrace apartment on the afternoon of Aug. 16.

Gonzalez is being held on $500,000 cash bail and is refusing to talk to investigators, who are determined more than ever to reunite the child with his mother. full story Boston

Preliminary FBI lab results show traces of chloroform in Casey anthony car/ The computer confiscated shows vists to webs sites about chloroform

(CNN) -- Preliminary FBI lab results show that there were traces of chloroform in the car of the mother of a missing Florida girl, according to a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation.

Casey Anthony's computer, confiscated within hours of her arrest in July on charges of child neglect, making false official statements and obstruction of justice, also showed visits to Web sites with information about chloroform.

The discovery of chloroform, a chemical compound that can be used to incapacitate crime victims, is a piece of evidence prosecutors will use in building the case of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony.

Earlier, investigators said they had found evidence of human decomposition in the trunk of Casey Anthony's car.

Law enforcement sources also suggested that a strand of hair found in the trunk of the car was Caylee's. full story CNN

New criminal charges were filed against Casey Anthony on Wednesday and Eyewitness News has learned she could be getting a powerful local attorney.

The new charges are unrelated to her daughter Caylee's disappearance. They stem from Casey's arrest Friday night, when she was accused of stealing money from her friend's checking account. The friend, Amy Huizenga, says Anthony stole several checks and cleaned out her bank account while Huizenga was vacationing in Puerto Rico.The sheriff's office said they were able to connect Casey with the checks using video surveillance from a Target and Bank of America location.The new charges filed Wednesday are for two counts of uttering a forged check, two counts of petit theft, and two counts of fraudulent use of personal identification.

only Eyewitness News has learned one of Orlando's most prominent defense attorneys, Mark Nejame, has been contacted in the case, but he hasn't decided if he'll take it over. Orange County Sheriff Kevin Beary initially made a plea for more volunteers in the search for Caylee.

Mr Miller thank you for staying on with the search. I agree you don't need Cindys help. but, Cindy is just being a grandma she doesn't want to believe her grandchild is gone. I really cant blame Cindy for the way she is acting. I know myself and most others have never been in her shoes and we don't know how we would act.

Tim Miller - I believe he is ready to cancel the search. Cindy doesn't want searchers in the woods, she wants searchers to find Caylee alive not in the woods. Tim was very uncomfortable with the questions that was asked.

Cindy Anthony - I really cant blame her for the way she is acting. I'm sure most of us have never been in her shoes. Nancy asked her if she wanted more searchers to show up she said no. She wants all the leads released to the public.

RICHMOND — State child welfare officials on Thursday were granted temporary custody of two young brothers who were left in a sweltering pickup for eight hours outside their home.

Ivan Noyola, 2, and Izrahel Noyola, 1, were pulled from the truck about 1 p.m. Monday. Police said their mother, Sandra Mendoza, 20, left them unattended in the truck and fell asleep in her home in the 3200 block of Rychlik in Rosenberg.

During a hearing Thursday, Child Protective Services investigator Collette Jones told the court Mendoza said she had been drinking vodka and beer at a family gathering on Sunday night.

Jones said Mendoza has left the children in her truck with the air conditioning running on several occasions when she did not want to wake them up.

Jones said the younger child is expected to be released from the hospital Friday. The older boy is in serious condition.

Associate Judge Walter Armatys granted the state temporary custody and also declared Mendoza and the father, Jesus Noyola, indigent and appointed attorneys to represent them.

ROSENBERG, Texas -- It's another case of children being left alone in a hot car, but this story may have a better ending thanks to the efforts of two neighbors.

Two Rosenberg women may have saved the lives to two small boys, a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old, after their mother left them in the car for several hours on Monday morning.

Investigators say 20-year-old Sandra Mendoza told them she had been out on Sunday night and returned home at 5 a.m. Monday.

Police say Mendoza forgot to take the two boys out of the truck, and when she woke up several hours later she found them unresponsive.

Norma Sierra was one of the neighbors who rushed to help the mother, performing CPR on one of the toddlers.

"A person like that doesn't deserve to have kids. She couldn't take care of them," said Sierra in an interview with FOX 26 News.

Mendoza is now charged with two counts of injury to a child.

The little boys remain in the hospital. Doctors say one of them has internal injuries to his organs. full story my fox








ROSENBERG, Texas -- A mother was accused of leaving her two babies inside a pickup truck for eight hours after she came home from a party, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

Rosenberg police said they got a call about two children found not breathing inside a vehicle at the Gegelskis Trailer Park in the 3300 block of Rychlik Drive at about 1 p.m. Monday.

Investigators went to the trailer park and found the 1-year-old and 2-year-old boys unconscious, unresponsive and breathing shallowly.

I have always heard if you do something 28 times it becomes a habit.
Everybody when you get out of a car look in your back seat every time you get out of car. Even if you know you don't have the kids with you. I always check my car seat even when my son is in school.

I know this is a little off topic but, this has been happening way too much

Maybe the car manufactures could make a warning on cars like the buzzing when you leave your lights on or some cars say door ajar. Maybe when you get the keys out of the car or when you open your door It could say Don't forget your kids Don't forget your kids

I have a feeling this case will never have any closure. Deep down I want to think she didn't take the deal because she is telling the truth.

I had a little scare last year at Disney. We got off of a ride and my son took off to the next Ride. He was lost for about 5 minutes. It felt like forever. My life stopped for that five minutes. We had about 10 family's with cellphones and all the Disney workers looking for him. It took about 5 minutes. I just don't understand how a parent could wait 31 days to report a child missing. I was ready to call anybody that could help me.

I will always remember his smile when I looked up and one of the workers was holding his hand bringing him back. he said mommy I missed you. He still thinks we were lost not him.

We were chosen that day to watch the fireworks on top of a ride after the park closed It turned out to be great day at Disney.

Casey Anthony is still not talking / conflicting reports about the what investigators have said about the trunk

I still think were missing something. I don't know maybe I Just want to believe that little Caylee is still with us.

Casey Anthony is innocent until proven guilty

Why are all these reports getting leaked to the press?
Are they trying to scare her to talk?

The clock is ticking on her limited immunity deal
Do you think the state will extend the deal past Tues if she has not talked?

You have to think if Casey knew anything at all why would she not take a deal to get less time. The more time that passes and the body not found. it will harder and harder to tell by the body if it was an accident.

I just hope we will all get proved wrong and caylee is safe.

I have a five year old step granddaughter and a 4 year old son.

If I was in Cindy Anthony shoes I would not believe it either until I had absolute proof and the only way you can get absolute proof if they find a body.

My prayers are with the Anthony family.
